The PORi 2-Day Foundation in Oncology Rehabilitation continuing education course offers Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists a “gateway” to the understanding of the unique clinical profile of oncology patients that will be both applicable and necessary for effective practice. The course offers the opportunity for participants to acquire knowledge about cancer pathogenesis of solid tissue tumors and how this plays out in the design of medical treatment, which forms the foundation of clinical decision making and application of skill sets for comprehensive rehabilitative treatment.
Target Audience for the Course
Speech Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants and Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Location
LIVE-Virtual. Participants will need a computer with high-speed internet, audio and visual capabilities. Participants will receive an electric manual to support active learning throughout the course. Presentations will not be recorded though interaction is high encouraged to support participants' learning.
Time (Breaks will be taken in the morning and afternoon along with an 1-hour break for lunch)
